30 Days of Dungeons and Dragons - Day 30

Day 30 - The Best DM you’ve ever had

I would have to say my first DM was the best. He got crazy into it, and made super elaborate worlds, with really complex politics, religion issues, and interpersonal relationships concerning our characters with NPC’s.

And he also loved to role play. Each NPC he played was incredibly unique from the last, and he just got so into being these other guys. It made the sessions more fun, where we could actually spend a hour just role playing our guys, and have no encounters to speak of.

It was all good fun.

And so was this 30 days challenge. Thanks for bearing with me this month.

30 Days of Dungeons and Dragons - Day 24-27

Sorry I’ve been so bad at keeping this on track… I haven’t been on my computer sober that much lately, and I don’t usually post things while under the influence, because who knows what kind of shenanigans that could get me into…

It’s super long, so it’s behind the cut.

30 Days of Dungeons and Dragons - Day 10

Day 10-Craziest thing that’s happened that you saw (to party/character/your players etc)

I have referenced it in the past but how my character was swallowed by a giant maggot.

Like this… only bigger.

I suffered catastrophic ability damage, severe loss of sanity, and was even hurt by my parties spells as they tried to free me. Oh and I also had to fight skeletons that were raised inside the maggot by some necromancer. All by myself. It was a great session, and lots of fun while it was happening, and interesting (as well as a plot twist), but what we didn’t foresee was my character going insane, and then running away.

You see the reason the DM decided to attack my character was that I had the highest reflex, and therefore would be most likely to be able to dodge the maggot trying to eat me. However I rolled 1 out of 4 roles that would have caused me to fail. Which was ridiculous to say the least.  And then I proceeded to fail miserably on the sanity checks, and well… you know the rest.

When it came time to fight the boss, a Lich, he scared me so much that I suffered a psychotic break and ran away. Also during that encounter one of the other oldest characters in the game, a Ranger, was poly-morphed into a squid, which then died because of lack of water. I forget what actually happened, as it occurred 6 years ago… I think.

So yea… That was probably the craziest thing to ever have happen.
